Sleep Again iOS App — Last updated March 2, 2026

This privacy policy explains how the Sleep Again iOS app handles your data. The short version: your health data stays on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers for processing.

What data the app reads

Sleep Again requests read-only access to the following data types from Apple HealthKit:

• Heart rate variability (HRV)
• Resting heart rate
• Sleep stage data (Core, Deep, REM, Awake)
• Sleep duration

This data is used to calculate your nightly wake-up risk score and display your sleep history. The app only reads data you have already recorded in Apple Health — it does not write health data or modify your Health records.

How your data is processed

All analysis happens on your device. The risk score calculation, sleep stage mapping, and trend analysis run locally using data pulled from HealthKit. No health data is uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server operated by Sleep Again or its developer.

Subscriptions and purchases

Sleep Again offers an optional subscription ($9.99/year or $1.99/month) managed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled by Apple. Joakim Achrén / Big Blue Games Oy does not receive or store your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.

If you redeem a book pass, the redemption code is validated against a server to confirm it is valid and unused. Only the code itself is transmitted — no health data is involved in this process.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not share your health data with advertisers.
• We do not use your health data to train machine learning models.
• We do not store your HealthKit data on external servers.

Analytics

The app may collect basic, anonymous usage data (such as which screens are visited) to improve the product. This data contains no health information and cannot be linked to you personally.

Data retention

Because health data is processed locally and not transmitted, there is no server-side retention of your health information. Redemption code records (code, status, timestamp) are retained in our database to prevent reuse of codes. These records contain no health data.

Children

Sleep Again is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
